In this project, I imposed old family photographs onto portraits of my friends.  The process of shooting my friends, selecting and finding appropriated matches from my family archive served as a bridge and a way for me to connect the various dimensions of my past. Using the Present-Past (the recording of a friend in a portrait) as a starting point and transitioning through the Past-Past (selecting from archival footage of my family), I finally arrived to a set of images that allow the important people in my life to occupy the same spaces without the confides of current time.
