Akopo intends to revisit the principle of hot water bag by a more contemporary approach, linked to new types of use of heating.

Through the principles of burst, cluster, dispersion of heatsource, Akopo prompts the user to carry a source of heat with him. This concept has a main body: the radiator, and three modules. Modules capture the heat emitted by the radiator, and also allow the user to better manage his consumption. In fact when the person is going to remove an item from the mainbody, it will reduce its electricity consumption. Its semi-rigid and soft touch modules will be a sensual source of heat for the user, through a new heating comfort.

The interface for setting the heater, usually located in the rear was brought forward, and it is now shifting to the user. This idea was mostly influenced by user interviews, and practical studies of use.

The radiator main body is made of steel and refractory stone inside. The modules are made of PVC elastomer free from toxic component and ceramic balls, this alliance allows the modules to be safe in temperature. To develop this project a strong eco-design approach was adopted. A principle of recycling was imagined for the modules, as well as management of the intensity of heating with external elements can reduce the consumption of electricity.

Finally regarding the product design in terms of shape, the idea was to create something long lasting and elegant. The image of the product shows the electric comfort, sensuality and purity.
