Great Fun Leisure (Corporate Identity)

Great Fun Leisure is an event management specialize in providing entertainment for children and families since year 2009 at Miri, Sarawak. When coming up ideas for the company’s logo, I wanted the design to reflect the name of the company. As the company are known for dealing with inflatable items such as bouncy castle, zorg balls and water pool, I decided to use fonts that are devoid of any hard point and edges.
The typography for “Great Fun” is custom made while the word “Leisure” is a modified version of an existing font called “Silent Reaction”. The style of the fonts are san-serif, as I felt they are best suited for the concept of the company. The main inspiration of designing the logo comes from balloons, with the rounded edges and white highlights.
The words “Great Fun” is arranged in the wavy layout to create a sense of motion and freedom. The mixture of upper and lower case helps to give a playful edge to the corporate. The word “Leisure” is in a upward, handwritten style motion underneath the word “Fun” as the thin weight of the font would be a good contrast to the thick, rounded nature of “Great Fun”. The designer also done this as physchologically it feels more mature in comparison to the fun nature of the words “Great Fun”, to show that while the company’s main target audience is children, anyone of all age who is looking for some fun time are more than welcome.
