Kanijna, the beauty-filled brush font

Kanijna is an extra bold font inspired by the relaxing vibes of the beach during a bright summer day. You're surrounded by warm, playful sand; occasionally shifting around with every gust of wind that seemingly passes through your soul. Grazing your body and revitalizing every hard-worked cell. The swirling, glimmering saltwater seems so inviting after a sweaty summer evening that you disregard the possibility of getting hurt by the many dangers lingering beyond the grainy haven.
This is the kind of atmosphere your Advertisement, Website, Wordmark, Masthead, Infographic, User Interface, Brand, Logo etc is introduced to when you include Kanijna.

Below is a small assortment of things that represent Kanijna's foundational design inspiration.
Early lowercase design. Much more needs to be done.
Kaminga was the old name of the font before I tweaked it to be called Kanijna.
Some more changes to the lowercase glyphs. The p and o go through a makeover and many other glyphs are also redesigned
Stylization Experiments
Side-bearing Adjustments
After some testing, I found the relative amount of space each glyph should share at it's right side-bearing.
Applying the discovered spacing, the kanijna wordmark is much more professionally typeset. This measurement is applied and slightly adjusted to suit the rest of the font.
Printed Advertisement poster with a simple design and good-looking reviews from imaginary people/places that I wrote myself.
Displays alternative glyphs and demonstrates the impressive readability of Kanijna at smaller point sizes.
FontCreator 8.0 has a special feature called Opentype layout features which automatically substitutes a specific glyph whenever a pre-determined sequence of glyphs are entered. The usual being fi for many professional fonts. I've programmed all major ligatures to substitute themselves automatically.
