This book is the accumulation of my 2 years at the MFA Communications Design program at Pratt, in which I wrote about "Deviations" - my observations as a bi-cultural designer living in different countries and the necessity of viewing (and making) everything in multiple perspectives.
The book's design is the visual demonstration of "deviation" in which the three book elements (typography, color, imagery) develop through stages of expansion and contraction. Since "deviation" connotes the wrongness factor, the overall design is a journey of going from "right" to "wrong."
The cover resembles the look of a standard library thesis book and the first page follows the Microsoft word office default. This then changes on every single page into a wilder, off-tune, unstructured layout.
