We were recently given a brief to create a book cover for a selection of books, the book I chose, was Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. Throughout this brief I developed several covers, and experemented with 3D techniques inspired by Stefan Sagmeister.

This was my first draft/idea. For this and the cover below, we were given already drawn illustrations that we had to adapt to the cover.

This was my second Idea.

The two designs above, are the start of my 3D process, inspired by a book cover bt Stefan Sagmeister, with this when technique layered, and green cellophane covers the image, the insect will show up, and when red cellophane covers the image it will show the man.

This is the final outcome, as well as this I designed a sleeve with to sheets of cellophane on either side to complete the 3D effect.
