The Development of Cancer Treatments.

The growth in our knowledge of cancer has led to remarkable progress in cancer prevention, early detection and treatment. Scientists have learned more about cancer in the last two decades than had been learned in all the centuries preceding. This typographic tunnel book is a reflection of this.

It shows how the treatments towards cancer have been improved since the early years and how this has helped fight cancer.
The aim of this book is to create awareness and inform the audience that cancer is slowly being defeated and that cancer is not a negative subject. It also aims to give the audience hope that in the near future there might be a possibility that cancer can be fully treated.

Throughout the book a diminshing ‘tumour’ was lasercut into the pages while the text increase in point size. As you flip through every page and the tumour decreases in size, the text does the opposite. The idea of the increasing point size of the text showcases how the treatment is being developed in contrast to the tumour getting smaller as reflected in the die cut.
