Light breaks into darkness. Beams of white ignite the skies where black night enshrouds the world. Everything encased in a thick layer of blindness, now alive with the sights of seeing for the first time.
The Earth shakes with the flash. OH! The sound is alarming, but the sight—the sights that ignites my eyes shows death all around me. For the first time I see. I was sleeping, I suppose. I grew accustomed to the darkness, and slept in silence.
I’m alive and awake. I can see the world and it’s dark, cold and dead. I look down to see arrows in my side. And yet, I know I’ll make it out alive.
This is the beginning. Ignite my sight and I can see, so I’ll start living and take it one step at a time. I know I’ll make it out alive.
