As Board President and volunteer Executive Director, I lead a team of 8+ active staff and 40+ volunteers to run and operate a performance venue and technology incubator that has a mission of making performing arts more accessible and engaging to the Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing. I chair board meetings and make executive decisions on behalf of the organization and am responsible for fundraising and financial activities including annual reports, grantwriting and non-profit administration.
I regularly coordinate and run events for the public and am responsible for promotion, marketing, legal waivers, sound engineering, lighting & technology for each event. I work closely with the directors and external organizations to maintain our Education, Arts, Technology, Accessibility & Deaf Culture programs.
I was responsible for the creation and delivery of the main website that brings in donation income as well as attracts artists, volunteers and members of the public through the doors of the venue, the website design and front-end code was produced by myself and I oversaw the final integration into the Wordpress CMS for our platform of choice. The site is fully responsive and easy for volunteers to manage all content including creating custom fundraising campaigns that appear on the home page.
