Social & Retail (Do they go together? No! Not at all!)

EMOTIVE BC: EVOLVE TO ELECTRIC. The biggest effort ever from British Columbia's Electric Vehicle advocates, featuring "Homo Gasolinus", made with the great team at Edelman, Vancouver. Video, print, lots more.
ROOTS CANADA: RETAIL, SOCIAL AND MORE. Proud to be helping Canada's iconic retailer with marketing, in-store and lots more. Freelance writing. Art direction by Roots.
GRAND SPIRITS DISTILLERY E-COMMERCE CAMPAIGN. Art by Shawn Murenbeeld. An old-fashioned "serial" (this is just half of it) for a prohibition-era distillery (ads in my Print section) that doubled our Facebook Friends and made a great profit.
AVON CANADA. Creative Direction, Writing. First of several social/brand campaigns for the world's largest beauty direct seller, this one intended to help recruit Representatives by pointing out the empowering, "you make the rules" aspect of an Avon career.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY AUTHORITY. Real fire photos and blunt statements reveal that not all electricians are legal, and safe.

Furniture Bank. Social media advertising. Just love this organization and the respecftful, decent way they treat people who need stuff you don't.
Social media campaign for debut of prodigy pianist. From the client: "Just a few highlights: Reticent media immediately responded and booked after I shared posts; The venue was full, with a cross demographic of public, media and industry; Social media conversations and phone calls lit up. The copy demystified a cultural community, broke down barriers and truly opened an audience for this pianist, where in classical music, it can be a genre that is feared or intimidating."
In early 2015 I spent a few months eating, exploring and re-branding Headwaters, the collection of ruggedly beautiful rural communities just north of Toronto, as "Where Ontario gets real."

You can see the centerpiece of this branding campaign in the "20 of my best" section of this site. These Twitter/Facebook posts led to long, fun interviews that I've done with over 60 of Ontario's realest and hardest working people so far.
