The Design Objective:

- keep the color theme of the original brand
- change the design in order to boarder the target audience
- use of Italian flag as an icon in the package and illustration of the cooking step

Background:
De Cecco is an Italian company producing dried pasta, flour and other related food products. The company was founded in 1886 by the De Cecco brothers in the small town of Fara San Martino in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. Nicola De Cecco originally produced flour at his stone mill before establishing the pasta factory. In 1908, the company adopted the country girl with the wheat stacks as its trademark. De Cecco pasta includes several types of pasta, such as Fusilli, Spaghetti, Farfalle and etc.. The best pasta is made with first quality material, starting from the excellent durum wheat. This is also what makes the difference between just any pasta and De Cecco pasta. Passion for quality is a tangible factor for De Cecco, therefore experts go in person to the harvest fields and see “for themselves” the quality of the wheat bound for the mill.
