Elements of Himalaya
Himalayan region includes regions around Himalayan Mountain such as Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan. For most people Himalayan is a mystery. Because of the unique elevation and climate from their living environment, Himalayan people formed their distinctive behavior and culture system. The objective of this project is creating a visual language to let people understand Himalayan culture, especially Tibetan Buddhism. Since icon is a universal visual language to let people possible to read context without per-knowledge; I hope these icon set can be used to become a label system for tagging literatures from Himalayan. I hope this project can bridge Himalayan culture to the world and encourage people to study and protect this endangered culture system.
