This is an advertising project (but could work as editorial, too) based on a previous campaign of WWF that focused on the idea that, with saving one species of animals, you are saving others because they are connected.
After some previous ideas and sketches that I won't display here, I decided to focus my project on the importance of bees. As you may (or may not) know, 60% of the fruits, vegetables and general crops on which we feed depend on this little insects. (ftp://ftp.fao.org/docrep/fao/012/i0842e/i0842e09.pdf)

Can you imagine a world without grapes (no wine to toast on special ocassions), a breakfast without orange juice? a halloween without pumpkins? the list goes on.. (check this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_crop_plants_pollinated_by_bees)
So, bees are a big deal. Not only for the economy, but most important for survival of many life creatures in this world. If we save them, we are saving a lot of important crops, saving other species that feed on them... other species including humans.

Este es un proyecto de publicidad (pero puede funcionar como editorial también) basado en una campaña previa del WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) que se centraba en la idea de que, al salvar una especie de animales, estabas al mismo tiempo salvando a otras porque todas están conectadas.

Entonces, las abejas son gran cosa. No solo para la economía, sino mas importante para la sobrevivencia de muchas criaturas vivientes en este planeta. Si las salvamos, estaremos salvando cultivos importantes, salvando otras especies que se alimentan de ellos... otras especies, incluyendo la especie humana.
The first sketch on the left pretended to make a bee made of all the crops that depend on them. But it looked too alive, and they are dying. So I put it upside down and added more plants, fruits and crops. And that was it!

En el primer sketch jugué con la idea de una abeja formada por los cultivos que dependen de ella. Pero se veía muy viva, y realmente están muriendo. Así que ponerla boca arriba y agregarle mas variedad de cultivos, flores y plantas fue suficiente para dar a entender la idea.
