This SVA undergrad advertising workshops offer an introduction into the creative world of advertising and teaches how to come up with great ideas. 

You'll learn how to become an advertising art director, how to strengthen your visual thinking, and how to improve the persuasiveness of your ideas by communicating to a target with an integrated 360° approach. 

Print, digital, social media, tv, ambient, guerilla--every medium will be explored. These 'Idea First' workshops will also let you use your strengths and interests from other visual fields such as Graphic Design, Photography, Illustration, and Typography and apply toward advertising.

Visual assignments/exercises will also be given to strengthen your art direction skills. We will perform critiques of student work and encourage class participation to strengthen conceptual thinking.
