Photo Manipulations
For my Photo Manipulation category I wanted to take normal photographs that had been taken and see the different looks and effects I could put on them to change the way the entire photo looked.
Lion Girl
In this graphic I used photoshop to help me merge a photograph taken of Megan Fox and a tiger together. By using a low opacity eraser and the posterize effect I was able to achieve a balance of tiger and face blended together while still giving it a natural look and feel.
"Water"melon
This image started off as a normal watermelon. With water in the name I thought itd be cool to transform the image to put water in its place. To help I found a tutorial that showed me how to make the colors blend together and mask the water to show a more natural look in the image. As photoshop was the application I used to create this graphic it gave me the ability to add a shadow to make the watermelon loook as if it was sitting on something.
Woven Basket Texture
This image I used to test different effect and tools that could change the complete build of a photo. For this I found a tutorial that gave me the tools to change this image into what looks like the side of a basket by giving the layers depth and masks it gives it a certeing 3D effect along with making it posterized to flow better with the texture.
Sketches
For these two photos, instead of taking a sketched image and making it look real I wanted to reverse the effet and take a real photo and make it look as if it had been hand drawn. In order to do this I had to use photoshop to adjust the images and add the effects I needed to get just the right look as if it were really sketched.
