So the company which build the website has the vision that all ingridients of the pizza will float over all website, so I have to take pictures of all ingridients that will appear on the website.
I am very proud that I have a chance to work with the real professionals in the website creation. The guys are really cool, they place the ingridients due my light setups by themselves, I even did not talk to them they are on the clients side. So it was like a thelepatical comunications:) If you look at the final completed site (the link is under that post) everything looks so natural exactly like in my vision :)
next step was a food photo shooting for website menu in the brief from client was that the images should be in a square format in dimensions 700x700 pixels, on white background. So i dont want to isolate the images so i build the white background setup in the client;s space.
So I tried to do my best in tthat amount of time that i have for every shot. I tried to make a highlights as most attractive and appetizing that I can.
So after we finish shooting pizzas we moved to another meals. Like Stromboli (something like buritos), hamburgers, shrimps, sandwiches, salads and soups. .I face the problem that i can not do a propper food styling at the time and, we decide to move the whole setup to my studio, so i will not have a time limitation and will gave a bigger space to move. For me that mean that I have to recook almost every position in menu. And i have to food style every single product for the camera. The big chalenges for me was sandwiches, pasta and stromboli.
I recooked because not that the client cooks bad, but because i want tu made the food as most attractive and the apetizing for the camera. I used the clients ingridients and sauces i did not replace any food with synthetic mockups. So i did not used the glue instead of sauces we all know that is much easier to do than a photograph a real food.So i can proudly tell you that everything is real food.
After I finished with meals i move ahead to shoot a bevegages, that is completely different story, and every single shoot need another light setup due to the shape of the glass and a consistence of a drink. I did not use the same setup because i want to show the color and pudiness of the drinks. Also in our plans was to put the leafs in to the frame but in this time of the year is a quite complicated to find the fruits with the fresh leafs.
As a final touch I Made a three temporary sliders to fill a header for website.The sliders was made from photos that I take before for the same client
So the total menu photoshoot includet around 105 pictures and takes me about 8 days of shooting and some time for retouch.I hopr that you like this project and if you want to see result alive, feel free to visit the website which is completely based on my images. http://www.pizza.az
