HERE IS THE FINAL!
I fixed some line work I wasn't happy with, added the highlights andfinalized the text.
Applying the text was a little tricky because the final decision was to have it read "Daredevil" in braille. But being neither read in braille or able to find a braille font for photoshop, I had to improvise. First I found out how to actually spell Daredevil in braille, then I created a grid within the image and a rough outline of where the dots should be placed for the lettering, then came the complicated part of making sure the spacing was as even as possible.
But all in all, I am very very happy with how it turned out. Let me know what you think. Love, C.

I don't normally work digitally but I do quiet enjoy it, especially projects like this where I want to test new compositions. So here I start with the final "ink" outlining.
Then I move to blacking out the composition with color. I gave a uniform grey color to Murdock right off the bat, because the end image I'm going for is quite dark and ominous, so I didn't want to start with anything bright/white. This is what I refer to as my base midtone layer.
I then added weight, dimesion and body, by layering on darker and darker shades of grey. This gives the illusion that the figure is back lit, and I can also use it to give the character more expression and personally, without overwhelming the drawing with too many "ink" lines. Without the shading, the face is a pretty generic rendering of Charlie Cox, but with the shadows I think the face become more recognisable.
Here is the darkest layer of gray, and the glasses finished. Tomorrow I'll be adding the defining highlights and any accent features or text.
