This project is a story about a caterpillar climbing a tree to make a cocoon and transform into a butterfly. Sometimes when I take pictures of my cat I notice that her pose will remind me of something else. I used this series of photos and animated hand drawings to tell the story of a caterpillar.

 

My audience is cat lovers and other people who might enjoy seeing drawings that transport my cat into an imaginative landscape come alive.

 

I used Photoshop, After Effects, and Garageband to complete this project.

 

My cat was not harmed in the process of photographing her. I photographed her as she went about her day. I created all the photos and drawings myself. I created the sound composition using Apple loops in Garageband.
