Project RBI - ePrescription & Stock Management Platform

This was a freelacning project for Reserve Bank of India's Lucknow branch. The said branch required an e-prescription and stock management platform for the in-house doctor (also called BMO) and pharmacy. I worked closely with in-house pharmacists and BMO, IT team, HR department, and higher management for the UX of the platform. Final visuals were created by another freelancer.

I first conducted stakeholder interviews to identify points of data generation. These included the internal pharmacy, empanelled pharmacies, associated diagnostic centres, CES i.e. RBI's internal department to track and reimburse medical bills.

Round two of interviews were conducted with all of the aforementioned, visiting all of them in-context. A high level action flow was prepared mapping these together. This was translated into more detailed user flows for each of these. Presented below is the one from BMO's point of view.

The BMO in any RBI office has two primary functions -
1. Diagnosis of employees, their dependants and retirees
2. Overseeing the replishment of medicine stock

My user research also suggested that sharing previous diagnosis of employees would be helpful for the BMO. However, main limitation was that medical records existed on paper, and digitizing them was not possible. It was ultimately decided the platform would serve as a medical archiving tool from its go-live date.

User flows were also made for the CES and pharmacist. Collectively, these flows gave a fair idea of the information architecture. Drawing from this, I sketeched the paper wireframes and interactions. These were then used for high-fidelity clickable wireframing.

The finals visuals for the platform are presented below. Colours chosen were shades of cyan, green and blue. These colours have a long standing association with health, wellness and calmness.
