A stop motion video based on a quote titled 'Roll the Dice' from the novel 'Factotum' by Charles Bukowski. 

Our film is the result of an experimentation, in which we used the tool of motion picture to reflect the sense and meaning of a given text, to adapt the story, thus generate certain feelings in the watcher. The usage of abstracted picture association was important for us, however at the same time we had to create a balance and loosely stick to the linearity that was given by the text itself.

 

 

This film was awarded a Special Prize in the animation section of the Hungarian National Scientific Students’ Associations Conference.
