For this project, I was prompted to make a magazine and I decided to make a vegetarian magazine because I had recently become a vegetarian but I had found a lot of the vegetarian magazines I looked at a little strange. 

The magazines I looked at usually fell into one of two camps in the audience they were designed; for people who didn't know anything at all about being vegetarian and had to be introduced to things like tofu, or for people who had already been vegetarian or vegan for many years and are already skilled in going to great lengths to find meat and dairy substitutes. 

I found this a bit odd and too specific as neither I nor anybody I knew really fell into these camps. I decided to make a vegetarian magazine with more of a focus on where the food comes from and simple gardening projects as this would be relevant to both audiences.
