In 2012, I was approached by a friend who had started brewing his own mead, looking for a logo he could etch onto bottles. He named his product Highlander Gold.

I tried to evoke a somewhat "regal" feeling with the type. As the product is favorable among medieval era enthusiasts, I used the letterforms to create a subtle sword shape when presented vertically.

I created mock-ups for the client showing how the logo might look etched onto the sides of his bottles.
