This project fulfills the need for local property owners to learn how and where they can receive assistance after disaster related emergencies. Typically for Atlantic City, these would be hurricane related disasters, and to facilitate the rebuilding process, this information booth will play a vital roll in the distribution of information. The form of the building originates from the vernacular use of piers. The visitors approach the building from the boardwalk. As they walk up the staircase, their view is obstructed by the piers, and they are forced to look out at the ocean.
