In college dormitories women share a bathroom with atleast 20 other people. The majority of women choose to do their hair in a dorm room. Dorm room space is at a premium and organization is key in these small spaces.

Products currently on the market to organize women's hair supplies are very limited, and are not conducive to a dorm room lifestyle. 

Time was spent collaborating with Paul Rowan and the Umbra team. The team and I decided the dresser-top cylindrical design was the best to move forward on for the Back to School line at Target.

The design team at Umbra was very interested in a simple design. The design had to use as few materials and processes as possible, and adhere to guidlines on manufacturing and overall aesthetics agreed upon by Umbra and Target.
