The Ad Agency, Fracture, was designed with inspiration from Philadelphia's colorful and beautiful mosaics. I used fractured peices to connect the private, public and open office spaces and also formed collaborative working environments. The peices that jut out from the exterior are the entrance to the building the staff lounge and the collaborative working spaces, known as the "gems" of the space. The back half of the building is mostly glass allowing as much sunlight to come into the open office as possible. There is also an outdoor patio that gives workers the oppertunity to work outside, or take a break and get some fresh air. I designed a fabric acoustical paneling system that was installed in both the conference room and the open office, made up of copper and fabric. In the open office, the panel hangs directly below a skylight that shines through the material giving just enough light to the workers. My goal was to create a fun, comfortable and collaborative work environment that is designed sustainably.
