South Whidbey Commons, a non-profit community organization and coffee shop contacted me to design promotional materials for their annual fundraiser event, Heart of Gold. Taking place at Mukilteo Coffee Roasters, the event featured a concert and silent auction with proceeds benefitting the volunteer-run non-profit.
POSTCARD
My client felt that a mailable postcard that could also function as a quarter sheet flyer to hand out in person would be the best primary promotional method for the event. To that end, the postcard needed to contain all the information that guests would need to save the date, plus the finer event details that would also be present on the full-size poster.

The gold and red color scheme was pulled from the interior color palette of the Commons Coffeehouse itself, while the hand-lettered chalk menu boards hanging around the shop provided the inspiration for the type treatment and layout of the print material.
TICKETS
Additionally, I was asked to create the tickets for the event as stripped-down versions of the much larger postcards.
