Having been restricted emotionally and physically from the Berlin Wall, "relief." creates a non-instrusive experiential guidance path.
The site is located in an already emotionally powerful area, next to the Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe and the Brandenburg Gate. For sensitivity to the context, the wooden panels were openly spaced apart to preserve the area.
