Papylon Company upgrades its gadgets and tools hardware on an ongoing basis. This is an excellent approach allowing the products to be always up-to-date. But what is even more important, in our opinion, this approach protects gadgets from being copied by competitors and allows a manufacturer to stay leader in its market. We were reflecting on this topic in one of our articles.

New generation of terminals is distinguished by bigger and more qualitative display, certain upgrade of components. As the ergonomics of the apparatus in comparison to the previous one (the case of which was also developed by the FORMALAB) has been changed, the design should have been corrected as well. The zone of holding of the gadget is very important and should be worked out thoroughly, with many stages of modeling. That is why in this project, the holder and its re-design was paid special attention. Other elements unimportant at first glance had undergone a serious upgrade: a latch, new stylus and other trifles.

The opportunity of such a rework of the apparatus is very important. When consumers see how manufacturer cares about them and their needs, developing and changing some uncomfortable parts, their engagement increases many times. And it is hard to reach such effect by other means.

The correct choice of production technology also contributes to it. In this project, the case was being made by means of poly urethane molding into silicon forms, i.e., the company not always should invest significant financial funds in the facilities. By the way, the production of this project as well was entrusted to us; a Chinese contractor was involved.

We are glad to see that Papylon has very sensible approach to the process of development of their products. We all can only steal pages from their book, as they are a good example to follow for all domestic manufacturers.
