Professional karaoke systems rarely require the intervention of the industrial designer — their design is as pragmatic as it is possible, it was formed a long time ago and hadn’t changed for many years. Something like this always happens with the equipment hidden from the eyes of the consumer.

But we always should think about upgrade. This idea led the company «Art Systems» to our agency with the desire to develop a fresh, and what is more important, unique design that would distinguish their new model from developments of competitors.

The complexity of the project lied in the fact that designers could not change the case itself and had to work in the frames of the front panel. We tried to offer several different solutions for the project, as we always do, but the choice was made in favor of the variant of design that you can see in pictures. This variant is distinguished with the minimalistic forms, simple and clear elements of the display in order to make the interfaceу even more impressive.

The design was assessed on the life-size moquette, and after the development of the construction together with the client’s contractor in Korea, we have started the transformation works. In addition our partner had developed a packing that would gradually replace the previous one.
