Sierpensky's World

In a 2d concept art, 3d generated base models helps a lot in creating random environments. It also gives the artist a feel of what he or the client wants. Moreover, lighting situations and angles can be maneuvered with having to sketch or paint multiple times before having a concrete idea. For this project, I thought to generate an art from the mathematical code, Sierpensky's Gasket.
Sierpinski gasket or the Sierpinski Sieve, is a fractal and attractive fixed set with the overall shape of an equilateral triangle, subdivided recursively into smaller equilateral triangles. During the course of my programming class, we were tasked to create this form and I further went on to make a concept art out of it.
After creating the ofrm from the code, I zoomed in into the interior of the Sierpensky form in order to take a more attractive shot as below as seen below.
I added a few models to the original image produced by executing the Sierpensky Script. I later took the base model to photshop from where I matte painted over the 3d render. it was fun to know that I could savor the joy of painting without having to worry about perspective and focal points, as all was settled in Maya already.
