The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald

 

Considered the best novel in the great 20's, a prosper age in America, known by its luxury and the contrast between the wealthy people and the poor ones. An age that represented Jazz music, Art Deco and the redefinition of Women in society.

 

We had to choose a book to redesign it, so I chose The Great Gatsby. The contrast between this two statutes, led me to use Letterset, using bold and slab typeface in a way that would rip it apart, since this method is very delicate and it can easily break and give us this broken feeling. If we think about wealthy people in those days, they were all fragile, because of all the facilities they had, although they always showed some kind of weakness.
