FIDMPrints is the new print management solution FIDM has implemented to track printing activity and paper usage on student-use devices in labs and libraries. Students and FIDM staff and faculty will be able to securely release prints from printers using their student ID cards, or alternately their FIDM Portal username and password.
Why are we implementing this? Simple: No more printouts waiting in the printer to be picked up by anybody; no more wasted jobs; prompts will remind users that grayscale or double-sided prints are cheaper and better for the environment!
