My inspiration for this concept was the variation in school desks over the years. I’ve illustrated a mixture of vintage and modern desks and then overlayed hand-drawn scribble text of school subjects over the pattern.

Digital Device Stickers
 

When I was in high school, I wanted to customize and decorate everything I owned to reflect my personality and tastes.

 

With clear (removable) vinyl stickers, students can decorate their laptop keys, the covers of their laptops, their NOOK, and other devices. Offering these on plastic sheets or in small books would mean that the stickers wouldn’t need to be specialized to fit a particular device size.

 

Shel Silverstein
 

These drawings illustrate a charming Shel Silverstein poem from Where the Sidewalk Ends. The poem reads:

 

How many slams in an old screen door? Depends how loud you shut it.

How many slices in a bread? Depends how thin you slice it.

How much good inside a day? Depends how good you live ‘em.

How much love inside a friend? Depends how much you give ‘em.

 

 

 

Thirst for Knowledge
 

Flat water bottles are increasing in popularity. They’re easy to transport in backpacks, reusable, and convenient to carry to sports after school.

 

The illustration is drops of water and a water droplet that has morphed into an upside down lightbulb. I’ve paired the bottle with a fitting phrase, Thirst for Knowledge. The design could be adapted to an opaque plastic cover of a matching notebook.
