Icon Homes Corporate Identity

The Icon Homes logo is created using Handwriting Draft typeface to replicate the drawing of blueprints. I used a triangle shape as well to show the design of of home's roof. Icon Homes' designs are modern and the triangle is used to represent their fine lines present in their designs. I used black and white to create contrast and to establish a simple yet elegant design. The logo flows from left to right and swoops back around with the triangle.
The business card for Icon Homes uses Handwriting Draft font for the logo type. NIxie One font is used for the other details contained on the front of this business card including: The name, address, website and email address. The triangle shapes are inidicative of Icon Home's designs, this will make more sense on the back of the business card. According to color theory and the color wheel, white is associated with light and is considered the color of perfection. White also means safety and cleanliness, both aspects one would choose when selecting a company to build their home. Black denotes strength and authority; it is considered to be a very formal, elegant and prestigious color (e.g., black tie, black Mercedes). The design of the front of the card is replicated throughout each of the collateral within this corporate identity. Fine lines are aligned in the shape of triangles. Everything is aligned proportional to the rest of the text and shapes contained in the design.I chose to use a little color on the card to help the employees name stand out among the other details.
The back of the Icon Homes business card shows the unique design the company creates. Nixie One font is used to remain consitent with the front of the card. The QR Code links directly to www.buildanicon.com, where the client can learn more about the company. I used full color 3D representations of the homes Icon builds to give the client a sense of what is possible. Black and white are used again to remain consistent with the front of the card. The images, QR code and text are aligned proportional to each other. Much of what is said in the caption above flows within this side of the card.
An envelope designed for Icon Homes. The envelope uses Handwriting Draft font for the logotype. Nixie One is used for the return and sending addresses. The top left corner follows the triangle design found on the logo, business card and letterhead. The envelope follows the standard of what an envelope should be and is aligned properly. It also leaves room for the stamp and code used by the post office.

Dell Griffith is a fictional character player by John Candy in the film "Planes, Trains and Automobiles."
The letterhead for Icon Homes uses Handwriting Draft font for the logotype to remain consistent with the other pieces of the corporate identity. Nixie One is used for the address, website and phone number. The triangles are used to create straight lines and represent the design of an Icon home.

This version contains lorem ipsum text to show detail in the letterhead.
This is a tentaive billboard design I created. The typeface is the same as used in the corporate identity to remain consistent. I used an actual photograph of a home recently built by Icon Homes. The billboard is not part of the corporate identity, but I felt it was a necessary part to include in my portfolio.
