Production through blow moulding was a much cheaper option than rotational moulding and better suited required production numbers. The tank integrates with Watergain’s existing downpipe diverter which acts as both inlet and overflow. The use of standard hose fittings makes installation incredibly easy, just ‘plug and play’.

Containerisation for export was a major consideration. Maximisation of literage within given dimensions was a design requirement. The two-part injection moulded stand is installed upside down inside the box to further reduce the packaged size. A 600L designation of the tank allowed it to comply with various Australian state rebate regulations.
FEA analysis of injection moulded stand
Convenience features such as the hose hanger, removable stand, and access hatch make the product a complete ready to install unit. An attractive aesthetic was a requirement to integrate with the style of contemporary and existing homes.
