FabCreator is a new company in the field of personal fabrication. Its goal is to create affordable easy to use desktop scaled versions of many different rapid manufacturing techniques such as but not limited to CNC milling, laser cutting and large scale 3D printing
The age of full customisation is just around the corner and FabCreator will provide the tools for the users to fully realise their personalised products. The first stage of empowering the user was giving them information and understanding of how products work. This is achieved more and more through the maker movement and a shift towards products becoming open source. To be able to further empower the makers, it is now time to give them the tools they need to fabricate their products.

In the next years products need to be redesigned as we are constantly wasting resources through bad design and planned obsolescence. Enabling people to repair their products or give them new uses allows for a great leap in sustainability. Rather than throwing away objects, they will be reused or refurbished, lengthening their lifespan. Rather than designing products to break, products will be designed to be editable by the user. Rather than a select few designing the products that are on the market, people will be able to go online and download anyone’s design and manufacture it themselves, for themselves or others.

FabCreator’s goal is to enable the people to build themselves a more sustainable future.
