Knife party. It's been a while since I've began an illustration in a sketchbook, recently I've been so spoiled by working on cintiqs that I've totally taken out the sketchbook step out of my process. However there's a certain feel that's hard to recapture when you do it all digitally, can't quite put my finger on it.

The scanning process, again it's been a while I've had to do it and admitedly, this is my least favourite part of the whole thing. After tweaking the levels, you have that stuborn line in the middle that you have to clean up manually.

Flat colours. I decided this needed to be a poppy, bubble gum style illustration with over the top colours, with nods to certain 90s anime that influenced me alot of a wee child.

Layered it up with shading, all cell/flat shading and a few gradients here and there. Viola, KNIFE PARTY.
