FISHERMEN
Fisherman, Noun, plural Fishermen, a person who fishes, whether for profit or pleasure. That`s the definition, but to most of the men I met, it is more than that. Fishing is tradition, philosophy, passion, surviving, and if You do it for profit, it is definitely a lot of hard work, and a rather small financial benefit. It was always an experience to meet those friendly and authentic characters. Some tell You their life, others want to know more about you and a few hardly saying anything and just let me took the photographs. They are out there catching fish for themselves, or for their cat, for living or just to be out there, away… here are some portraits of fishermens I took so far in St.Petersburg, Russia and Malta.
