I love to fish... But unfortunately like many others, I do not have a boat. I'm at the mercy of the fish I can reach by foot. So as you can guess, good spots are hard to find. I came up with the idea for SPOTCASTER because of this need. I'd mark my favourite fishing spots in a screen captured note on my phone, Then scribble over top of the spot details about the spot, location, conditions, type of fish, lures I used, etc...

Then on Facebook and twitter I would share photos of the fish i caught. I'd tag the location in Facebook... Why cant an app do all these things?  Tag my favourite spots, keep track of the fish, locations, conditions, which lures were used etc... Then share out this information to social networks as well as others within the app.
