Art for the Bowie-Thurman wedding in September of 2013. Includes comic-book invitation and theme save-the-dates and other materials.
The theme for the wedding included the concept of "starting an adventure" and included elements from comic books, high fantasy books and films, and video games. The theme was extended to a series of shorts published to the wedding website at mywedding.com/thewizardandthewarrior/stories.
The save-the-date magnets were sent out 6 months before the formal invites and set the initial theme and style.
The wedding invitation comic book was full-colored nine pages and featured painted over photographs and manipulations. The overarching story of the comic book followed two people on a journey toward one another.
