Personal Project/Began 2007

In 2007, while on a cruise, my family and I took a small detour after we arrived at the island CocoCay. Hopping over a barrier, we began trudging over the rocks lining the shore. I remember feeling the blisters forming, and seeing my parents and my brother laughing and talking. We walked the entire way around the island, my flip flops being claimed by the rocks in the process. We finally arrived at a gazebo that jutted out over the shoreline. I took out a small pocket camera and took a picture of the coast.

Sometime later I found that picture. It amazed me how well I could remember that day just by looking at the photo. I became fascinated with the art of photography and the stories that could be told through pictures. Since then, I have continued photographing my experiences, attempting to transcribe the narratives I see into pictures that speak for themselves.

Below are some of the pictures I've taken so far.
