My first commercial game. I helped define a large part of the map taking place in Russia. The environment was quite varied, featuring dense forests, a wood processing facility, abandoned villages and a climactic ending inside the ruins of an old, traditional church.
 
I started working on the project before the Alpha, so some parts of the map were still in the “Grey Box” stage. These were the areas that I focused on, working with the Level Designers and the Art Director to help define them.
 
Since it was my first commercial game, I learned a lot about working together with the Level Designers, which I hadn’t done before. Prior to that, I hadn’t really considered how gameplay affected the whole art production for a game and experiencing that first hand proved incredibly useful in my next projects.
