The Art of Repair
The focus in this project was on the fault in the making process of the object. The broken slip cast earthenware muggs were repaired which gives them a new value and shows how objects through reuse and fixing can get a completely new quality and feeling of a more personal identity between the maker and the object . The repairing of ceramics using a special glue mixed with gold is an ancient japanese technique called Kintsugi.
