Project 1 Alien plant - Modeld in Maya and renderd in After effects. Just started modeling completely in 3D this year and our first project was to create an alien or "weird plant". The plant is known as a "Dancing sky lilly". It is parasitic, attaching itself to nearby flora and lives on floating chuncks of earth. It is characterized as dancing due to the way it's long poisonous stingers sway in the breeze mimicing the movement of a grass skirt.
