A Massey University Typography project. The task was to design a blad booklet and Dust jacket that folds out as a poster, to accompany an exhibition of famous NZ Māori artist Ralph Hotere.

 

My design decisions were based on common features that appear in Hotere's art work: contrast between dark and light, geometric and dynamic use of space, and common linear themes.

I used fonts Univers and Garamond, a consistent 6 column grid structure and over-rule.
