The (Im)Perfect Helvetica is an experimental type project that combines two of my favorite things: Helvetica and watercolor. After painting a textured background on watercolor paper, I cut out each letter of the alphabet (& the ampersand) in Helvetica Neue Bold, taking care to cut with unevenness and imperfection. The result is an artistic typeface that feels like Helvetica without feeling like Helvetica.
