PAINT LANDSCAPES
"Paints landscapes" is a project that I made inspired by the works of
Nancy Wood and Lee Griggs.
I was also inspired by basaltic rocks. The project is made using pfrticle flow and 3ds max.
Renders made using v-ray and as always a little bit of magic in Photoshop.
The aim of this work is to study new technique and play with colors.

I used photos of paintings that Nancy made using acrylic
as a basis for the work of the particles in 3ds max.
NATURAL FORMS THAT INSPIRE
WORK PROCESS
The logic is very simple.
You make the plane with texture divided into segments. In the center of each segment Particle flow detects colour of texture and transmits it to the particle. Depending on the color the height of the particle changing. By controlling the number of segments you control the number of particles.
As a material I use vertex colour texture with v-ray shader.
It's like color displacement from particles :)
