The Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Carolina (UPRC) was holding a contest to remake the campus sports and activity logo. The old logo was outdated, and had a striking resemblance to the logo of a very famous basketball team from the U.S. They were looking for something appropriate but fresh.
I went straight to work.
Concept board: I always begin my projects with a Concept board, which helps me focus the mood of the project. It's a great way to keep your inspirations and ideas in one convenient space.
Bocetos: Some quick sketches of possible logos for the mascot (Jaguar). I wanted something simple, iconic and fierce.
