T-Minus 151 is an annual one-week project that takes place the first day of the semester. T-Minus brings together the entire RIT Industrial Design department putting students on mixed-year teams to develop a single project.

 

This year the challenge sponsor was Schlage, an American lock manufacturer founded in 1920. RIT ID students were tasked with creating a lock mechanism that addressed the specific needs of the growing 65+ population.

 

Sunday morning students install their presentations in the University Gallery and pitch to representatives from Schlage. This is the final version of team Monticello's presentation poster.
