'You've got a Friend in Me' - A Pixar Tribute
I was invited to take part in Hero Complex Gallery's invitational exhibition 'Young Guns' which celebrates emerging and rising artists. We were tasked with creating 3 or more artworks encompassed in a theme of our choosing. For my trio I chose to pay tribute to the wonderous creations of Pixar.
From the vibrant colours, classic one-liners and the beautiful story of Sully, Mike and Boo, 'Monsters, Inc.' is a classic in every sense of the word. I tried to play on the irony of the movie and its title, with the child 'Boo' being the true monster in the closet.
